It was nighttime; some people gave him food he put in his bag. The next day, when he opened his bag, he was shocked….

This incident happened with my grandma’s grandfather when he was coming from his duty one day.

It was nearly midnight when he was going back home from his duty. After traveling a few kilometers, he saw a tent where the langar was going on; it was amidst his way so he stopped there and sat with others at the langar. They were serving lentils(dal) and rice. He was given a plate, and they put some rice and lentils in it. He wasn’t hungry, so he kept the plate in his bag. Because he was doubtful about this situation, he closed his eyes and started praying. He didn’t even look at the people.

Some time was passed, and when he opened his eyes, there was neither the people nor the tent. He stood up and started running towards his home. After reaching home, he was exhausted, so he went straight away to bed without even looking inside the bag. The following day, when he woke up and looked inside his bag, he was shocked to see what was inside. It wasn’t lentils and rice but tiny bits of bones and blood.

My grandma told me that after this incident, he was so horrified that he fell ill.

When I heard this incident, I didn’t sleep that night thinking about how is this possible. This incident happened more than 100 years ago. And at that time, the forest used to be dense, so I thought maybe they might be some tribal people who practice cannibalism. And, there are some tribes who still practice cannibalism far away from human civilization. It could be possible that due to darkness, they thought my great grandfather to be their member. Also, it was dark, so my great grandfather assumed bones and blood to be rice and lentils.

I don’t know whether I am right or wrong. They could be anyone either tribal people or GHOSTS. It’s just my perspective on this incident.

What do you think about this incident?

THANK YOU!
