Breath-taking views, Enormous trees, beautiful towering mountains, and striking views of valleys. The beauty of the place will enthrall you.

YOU must be wondering which place am I talking about?

This is “Banode Mahadev Temple” situated at Una, in Himachal Pradesh. Enormous trees and towering mountains surround the temple. The amazing view around the temple gives it a strikingly picturesque appearance.

HISTORY: It is said that this ancient temple was built by Pandavas during their exile. As the name suggests this temple was devoted to Lord Shiva by Pandavas.

Now, talking about my experience whenever I visit this temple.

During my summer vacation, whenever I go to my Nani’s house I always visit this temple. I can’t explain how peaceful and refreshing I feel whenever I visit this holy place. This place is a soul-stirring place. The sound of peacocks echoes all over the place. I get to see peacocks whenever I visit there.

The temple is only 3kms away from my Nani’s house. So our visits were frequent. I like to go there walking. So I always ask my mother and she always tells me that I will get tired still I used to force her, as I like to explore forests and nature.

Since childhood, I was fond of wildlife and nature. At that time I didn’t want to miss any opportunity.

We often asked our relatives and neighbors to come along. It’s so friendly in my Nani’s place, everyone lives like one family. That’s how we go together. It was fun because we usually talk about the place and the stories related to it. My mom usually got busy talking during the journey while I enjoy myself exploring the forests and clicking the pictures all the time. That’s how our 3kms used to pass. When we reach the first thing we see was the beautiful entrance gate of the temple. The whole temple was glowing, behind the temple were huge mountains spreading all around, that view was splendid. Even the words are not enough to describe the beauty of that place.

Thinking about the place while writing is overwhelming. The divine beauty of the place amazes me every time I look at it.

There is a huge heart-shaped pond in front of the temple and a countless number of fish live there. We usually carry dough with us to feed them.

I would like to live there forever and appreciate the creation of God. I feel full of the joys of spring whenever I visit that place. And in my opinion that place is no less than heaven.

Thank you!
