Learn by listening to songs or by watching movies. Also, you can start journaling it will help !! Do some self-practice, imitate your favorite YouTuber. Develop a reading habit. Also, you can challenge your sibling to speak only English for 24 hours.

As a student, I truly understand how it feels when you are not able to speak English when everyone else around you is speaking so fluently.

So here are some tried and tested practical ways that I used to improve my English without putting in so much effort.

  1. Learn By Watching And Listening: It’s a fact that we learn things quickly and easily by watching or listening. Start watching English movies with subtitles. Personally, this helped me a lot. You can listen to songs as well but try to learn their lyrics and be a singer for some time.

2. Start Journaling: To be honest, writing your routine of the whole day daily in a notebook or diary will improve your English. Write your thoughts or whatever that is coming into your head.

3. Self Practice: Without self-practice, I don’t think you will be able to overcome the fear of speaking in front of people.

As I mentioned in my earlier point that you can learn by watching so you can watch any youtube video you like to. Try to learn by reading the subtitle of that video. I am sure sometimes you also try to imitate your favorite YouTuber.

If YES, That’s GREAT!!! By imitating you can improve your English, it also helps you to get rid of hesitation. You can also do:

● Try to speak about you or your routine in front of a mirror

● Try to act like you are a celebrity and you are being interviewed and you are telling about your journey.

● Also, act if you are a cook describing recipes.

These are just some examples you can do whatever suits

you…

4. Develop a Reading Habit: Reading not only improves your vocabulary but also improves focus, concentration, and writing skills. You can choose any book genre to read. (If you like to read about magical things you can choose the fantasy genre). It’s all up to you.

In a nutshell, read books you are interested in.

5. Do an English Speaking Challenge: challenge your sibling or any member of your family to speak only English with you for 24 hours and the one who loses has to pay or will get punished. Make a fun challenge on your own.

These are the points that I think will help you improve your English effortlessly and easily.

You don’t have to swallow any grammar book or do any rote learning of tenses and yet you will be able to improve and learn English.

Also, I’m not saying at all that you don’t need any book to learn. Books are really important there is no point to argue about because books will help you understand and learn the rules and concepts which are the basic necessity to learn any language.

THANK YOU!!
